Prenatal Classes
Join us every fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. virtually on Microsoft Teams for an “Ask the Nurse Live Chat Session”. If you are greater than 12 weeks, start your pregnancy with information straight from the source — Nurses. Understand the importance of prenatal care, nutrition/exercise, breastfeeding, picking a safe car seat/stroller, the importance of a pediatrician and/or any topic to better prepare you for your pregnancy and delivery. Let us help you explore all the resources our Baptist Beautiful Beginnings program has to offer.
Offered on select Saturdays, this 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. class covers the following topics: Labor & Delivery, Infant Care & Safety, Breastfeeding, New Mom Care and Postpartum Support. Offered on select Saturdays 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., this class covers the following topics: Breastfeeding, Pumping, Storage and Mom Care. This class also provides participants with resource materials and a hospital tour. Please contact our Maternity Care Coordinator for additional information regarding dates.
Meet our nurses in the lobby of the Women’s Hospital for a thorough tour at 5:00 p.m. on select Tuesdays. Basic topics of where to go, what to bring and things to expect are all covered in this Q&A tour. Please contact our Maternity Care Coordinator for a reservation.
We offer anytime, anywhere parent education, powered by Bump2Baby360®, a pregnancy app. Previously known as YoMingo®, Bump2Baby360® is free to patients. You can access class information on your own pace, in the comfort of your own home. You will also have access to our childbirth educators through email to answer any questions you might have. This online program is also offered in a variety of languages. From your mobile device or computer, you can learn about:
- Evidence-based information about prenatal care, labor and birth, postpartum, breastfeeding and newborn care including many videos
- Information specific to your arrival and stay at our delivering hospitals
- Kick counter, contraction timer, personal journal, feeding log, immunization log, and other tools
