Serving the Needs of the Golden Triangle
Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle is a 323-bed acute care hospital in Columbus, Mississippi. As one of the largest entity hospitals in Baptist Memorial Health Care’s system of 24 hospitals, Baptist Golden Triangle has been caring for residents of the East Mississippi and West Alabama area for more than 50 years.
With more than 100 physicians and surgeons representing nearly every medical specialty, we provide a full range of comprehensive medical services. We strive to provide high-quality health care services and emphasize quality and patient safety.
We are currently the only hospital in Mississippi and one of only 18 hospitals in the United States awarded an “A” Hospital Safety Grade on every survey conducted by The Leapfrog Group, a nationally respected watchdog organization that monitors hospitals’ systems, protocols and efforts to ensure patient safety. The Leapfrog Group has been rating hospitals since 2012.
Baptist Golden Triangle was recognized as the top hospital in Mississippi for quality in 2022 by Blue Cross & Blue Shield, was named the Overall Top Comprehensive Quality Model Performer Hospital in 2022, and recognized for how well we kept patients from being readmitted to the hospital within 30 days of being discharged.
We were named one of the nation’s Best Hospitals, as well as a High Performing Hospital for hip fracture and knee replacement by U.S. News & World Report in 2022. We are the only hospital in the Golden Triangle to receive the Platinum Performance Achievement Award from the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain – MI Registry.
We also received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke Gold Plus quality achievement award for its commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment. And, we were recognized by Vizient, a national organization dedicated to improving health care solutions, as a Top Ten Performer in the 2022 Bernard A. Birnbaum, MD Quality Leadership Ranking. Baptist Golden Triangle also earned Vizient’s Bernard A. Birnbaum Quality and Accountability Award as a Complex Care Medical Center.
While we are very proud of all these accolades, we consider the quality care and recovery of our patients the most significant of our accomplishments. Because at Baptist Golden Triangle, our most important goal is to continue to get better every day for our patients.
