Baptist Golden Triangle PGY1 Pharmacy Residency

Building on Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and outcomes, the PGY1 pharmacy residency program at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle contributes to the ASHP PGY1 goal by providing the development of clinical pharmacists who are:

  • Responsible for the medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions
  • Eligible for board certification
  • Eligible for PGY2 pharmacy residency training

  • Duration: 12 months
  • Resident positions available: 3
  • Estimated stipend: $46,000
  • Personal time off: 12 days per year
  • 2 “burn” days per year for mental health

Application requirements and eligibility

  • Graduate or candidate for graduation of an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program
  • Eligible for Mississippi licensure and licensed within 3 months after start of program
  • PhORCAS application:
    • Letter of intent
    • Curriculum vitae
    • Official transcript from pharmacy school
    • Three letters of recommendation

Baptist Golden Triangle is a 315-bed acute care hospital in Columbus, Mississippi. We have provided care to residents in East Mississippi and West Alabama for nearly 50 years.
