Bringing quality breast health care to central Mississippi

In a year, more than 250,000 women in America will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer, along with 63,000 cases of non-invasive breast cancer. That’s one in eight women. Many will be diagnosed right here in central Mississippi. Unfortunately, many of the mothers, sisters, daughters, wives and friends in our community do not have access to life-saving breast health technologies due to being uninsured or lack of access to health care.

To help combat this crisis, Mississippi Baptist Medical Center is planning to acquire a specially-equipped van with leading-edge 3D digital mobile mammography technology that will bring valuable breast screening services to women in our community where they live and work.

Your gift to Baptist Health Foundation will help get our wheels rolling and provide women with quality breast health care – so that neither distance nor the ability to pay will prevent women from getting the screening mammograms they need and deserve. This means more lives saved. More than 93 percent of breast cancer cases can be cured with early detection and prompt treatment.
