Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis is committed to a child-centered health care approach and serving the individual needs of children. That’s why we offer a number of specialized pediatric services and programs: a pediatric/adolescent emergency department; the Hardin Pediatric Center; P.D.’s Perch (outpatient center); Pediatric Audiology Center; pediatric surgery services; pediatric outpatient rehabilitation; and P.D’s NEST Program, which helps alleviate children’s fears about surgery and medical procedures. Baptist Memphis offers two certified child life specialists, trained in psychology and early childhood education principles, to help calm your children’s fears and prepare them for tests and surgery. Baptist’s child life specialists work with children in the hospital’s pediatric inpatient unit, pediatric outpatient center and emergency department. A special feature at Baptist Memphis is the Dove Movie Channel, a family-friendly movie channel that features current films and videos throughout the day and night for Baptist’s pediatric patients. The program, developed by children’s hospitals, child life specialists, patients and parents, allows children to experience a normal activity while in the hospital.  Top of Page |
