What can a patient expect when they have you as a doctor?

They can expect care and compassion, a team approach to medical care and efficiency of practice (minimal wait times or inconveniences). They can also expect the leveraging of technology (such as electronic medical records and the web portal My Chart) to optimize communication and scheduling. Lastly, they can expect grey hair and experience.

What is the most important factor in a doctor patient relationship and why?

I feel the most important factor is mutual trust and respect. Trust that I will do everything I can to find out your problem and get you to the correct test or specialist if necessary. I can trust you to follow through on test referrals or medications, or to let me know if you cannot or choose to not follow through with them.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy when you're not working?

I enjoy raising Heirloom tomatoes, pretending to exercise and hating grass-cutting.

What about your line of work do you find the most rewarding and why?

I think I find it most rewarding when someone comes in for a follow-up visit and the medical problem is under better control or resolved, and they feel better!
