Meet The Doctor

What can a patient expect when they have you as a doctor?

Caring, compassionate, thorough, care and communication so they can understand what treatments they are receiving and why. The main thing I care about is trust between myself and the patient.

What is the most important factor in a doctor patient relationship and why?

Trust. I trust that patient will give me all of the information and be honest about their past and present experience on their health journey. And I want them to be able to trust me to provide a safe and nurturing environment for them. I want them to also trust that I will provide the best care for them and have their best interest at heart always when treating them.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy when you're not working?

In my personal time, I enjoy travel and new experiences, playing trivia, reading and cooking.

What about your line of work do you find the most rewarding and why?

It is very unique to sit in the "in-between" of medicine and OB. I love being the connective piece or bridge for other doctors to help a patient fully recover or bring life into this world. I try to always put myself in my patient's shoes when providing care, so speaking to them in a kind and sympathetic manner is essential to the care I provide. It is so rewarding being able to give hope to the often hopeless whether it be in their pregnancy, living with HIV, or any other journey. My line of work allows many to practice in many different facets of the medical field, so this also challenges and intrigues me. I love the continuous learning aspect of my job.
