What can a patient expect when they have you as a doctor?

Patients can expect a surgeon and staff who will listen and take the necessary time to evaluate the presenting and underlying issues, and then offer a minimally invasive surgical option whenever possible.

What is the most important factor in a doctor patient relationship and why?

I would have to say mutual respect, trust and openness. With a strong relationship foundation, communication is easier and more conducive to better outcomes.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy when you're not working?

I enjoy time with my wife and three daughters (and all their activities), grilling, bird hunting and being involved in church ministry.

What about your line of work do you find the most rewarding and why?

The ability to impact the patients and families so directly through surgery is most rewarding. This is particularly satisfying when we can relieve suffering or prevent a dire situation using minimally invasive/robotic techniques that result in minimal pain and downtime.
