U.S. News & World Report ranks Mississippi Baptist Medical Center as No. 1 hospital in the state for sixth consecutive rating period

JACKSON, Miss., July 24, 2024 – U.S. News & World Report has named Mississippi Baptist Medical Center the No. 1 hospital in Mississippi and the Jackson metropolitan area in U.S. News’ 2024–2025 edition of Best Hospitals.

U.S. News evaluated nearly 5,000 hospitals across 15 specialties and 20 procedures and conditions; only 11% of evaluated hospitals earned a Best Hospitals ranking. Hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors, such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care and patient experience.

MBMC was also recognized with 13 High Performing ratings for congestive heart failure; colon cancer surgery; diabetes; heart attack; hip replacement; kidney failure; knee replacement; leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma; neurology and neurosurgery; pneumonia; prostate cancer surgery; stroke; and urology.
