BACKGROUND: Created by Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women in 2021 during the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Pink On & Groove On event started as a drive-through line to recognize and celebrate breast cancer survivors. The event has transformed from a drive-through event with survivors decorating their vehicles to an in-door event with survivors dressing in their best pink outfits to celebrate life and survival with a costume contest, line dancing, photo booth and refreshments.
