Baptist Women’s Health Center to celebrate breast cancer survivors
during ‘Pink On & Groove On’ event
WHAT: Baptist Women’s Health Center is hosting Pink On & Groove On, an event to honor breast cancer survivors, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Created by Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women in 2021, survivors dress in their best pink outfits to celebrate life and survival with a costume contest, line dancing, photo booth and light refreshments. Sponsors for this event include Gilead Oncology and Zeta Tau Alpha Foundation/Think Pink Memphis. BACKGROUND: Baptist Women’s Health Center is the Mid-South’s premier mammography center and is accredited by the National Accreditation Programs for Breast Centers. Baptist’s comprehensive breast program includes board-certified doctors, breast surgeons, radiologists and nurse navigators. Baptist’s mobile mammography unit offers grant-funded mammograms to women who might not otherwise be able to afford screening or diagnostic mammograms. Women can call 901-227-PINK or visit baptistpink.org to find out if they qualify for a grant-funded mammogram and to schedule an appointment.
