Baptist Memorial Hospitals Named to U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals list

MEMPHIS, Tenn., Aug. 19, 2025– U.S. News & World Report recognized six Baptist Memorial hospitals for providing excellent care, with two Baptist Memorial hospitals named Best Regional Hospitals, on its 2025-2026 list.

Mississippi Baptist Medical Center was named the Best Regional Hospital for the state of Mississippi and Jackson, Mississippi, and High Performing in 15 categories. Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis was rated High Performing in 19 categories and was named the Best Regional Hospital in Memphis and the No. 2 hospital in Tennessee, in a tie with another hospital.

Four Baptist Memorial hospitals were also named High Performing Hospitals in multiple categories:

• Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto was named High Performing for six conditions — Heart Failure, COPD [chronic obstructive pulmonary disease], Diabetes, Heart Attack, Kidney Failure and Pneumonia
• Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi was rated High Performing for six procedures and conditions — Colon Cancer Surgery, Diabetes, Heart Attack, Hip Fracture, Kidney Failure and Pneumonia
• NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital was rated High Performing in four areas — Diabetes, Heart Attack, Kidney Failure and Pneumonia
• Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County was rated High Performing for Pneumonia

To determine the Best Hospitals, U.S. News analyzed each hospital’s performance based on objective measures, such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications and level of nursing care.
