Baptist Cancer Center to celebrate survivors
MEMPHIS, Tenn., May 28, 2026 –Baptist Cancer Center will celebrate cancer survivors and their loved ones at the fourth annual Rhythm of Life Cancer Survivor Celebration and Awareness Day on Thursday, June 4 from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Shelby Farms Park, 6903 Great View Drive North.
The community is invited to this free event, featuring live music, local food trucks, a photo booth, cancer screening education and MEGA Colon, a walk-through, interactive colon exhibit that helps visitors learn how to improve overall colon health and reduce risks for colorectal cancer. Two Baptist Cancer Center patients will also share their stories at the event.
“We are excited to continue this inspiring, uplifting and joyful event to celebrate and support community members whose lives have been affected by cancer,” said Parker Harris, administrator of Baptist Cancer Center. “Baptist Cancer Center has a THRIVE Survivorship Program, so we can help cancer survivors live their best lives. It’s important to recognize and support cancer survivors so they know they aren’t fighting alone.”
National Cancer Survivors Day is held annually on the first Sunday in June. The commemoration celebrates and inspires cancer survivors, recognizes those who have supported cancer survivors and serves as a call to action for further research, more resources and increased public awareness to improve the lives of cancer survivors.
