who survived the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing
 

WHAT: Baptist Memorial Health Care and cityCURRENT will host Dr. Natalie Stavas who was honored by President Barack Obama and named “2013 Bostonian of the Year” by the Boston Globe after she ran into a terrorist attack to help victims of the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013. Stavas, now a program director for Child Protection Pediatrics at the University of California San Diego, will discuss the importance of altruism and strategies for conquering fear and finding meaning in a chaotic world. This event supports Baptist’s SHE (Science, Health, Empowerment) Leads the Way Program and is part of the cityCURRENT Signature Speaker Series.
