Access Your Baptist Health Records Anywhere, Anytime

In the past, when I needed a copy of records for myself or my children, I had to put in a specific request with my doctor. Having access to these files is important, but not always easy. At Baptist Memorial Health Care, we wanted to give our patients the ability to take charge of their health care in a new way. To do this, we worked with Epic Systems to develop Baptist OneCare. Baptist OneCare is a fully integrated electronic health record. It gives our patients the ability to access their own health records anywhere, anytime, from a computer or mobile device, so it’s easy and convenient. Patients can also:

Refill prescriptions
Make doctor’s appointments
Record their own health data
See when they need to schedule preventive care procedures
Consult their doctor’s office remotely

The implementation of Baptist OneCare also gives our providers a continuous range of care when it comes to treatment, imaging, lab, and referral services. This kind of progress helps ensure that health care is safer, more efficient, and more convenient for everyone involved. It also allows our staff to provide patients with more personalized care. For my family, having access to medical records in this way has made managing our health care needs much easier. With the option for proxy access, a parent can log into their personal Baptist OneCare MyChart account and connect to their children’s health records. You can also give an adult family member proxy access to your information, which is a great option for spouses. My wife uses this often to make sure we’re updated on the health needs of our three children – and each other.
