Volunteers at Baptist

We welcome volunteers who want to share their gifts of time, kindness, and love with our patients. It is an opportunity to learn more about healthcare and what we do, but most importantly, provide care and compassion to our patients and visitors. Volunteers can work alongside staff in our patient care areas or support our team with various projects and needs. The best part is you don’t have to have any medical training. We will teach you everything you need to know. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital Volunteer Services

NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital and its patients benefit from the services of the hospital auxiliary. These volunteers provide the extra services that mean so much in terms of patient’s comfort and well-being. Auxiliary members can be readily recognized by their pink coats. Some of the services the auxiliary provides are staffing the information desk, delivering mail and flowers, operating the gift shop, providing a coffee cart, and assisting staff members with administrative duties. Experience Critical Program

As an Experience Critical volunteer, you are a liaison between emergency room patients and families in the waiting room and the ER staff at one of three participating Baptist hospitals. If you are considering a future in healthcare, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Real People are Depending on You

A few of the tasks you may assist staff with are answering phones, clerical duties, room turnovers, patient and family support, as well as, updating visitors on a patient's status.
