The goal of this symposium is to enhance physicians' and other health care providers’ knowledge in the evaluation and treatment of patients with advanced heart failure (AHF).
- Discuss cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) as a clinical tool to evaluate patients with heart failure.
- Recognize immunological challenges of heart transplantation.
- Examine recent advancements in ventricular assist device technology.
- Recognize the treatment options for patients with left ventricular systolic dysfunction and significant mitral regurgitation.
Primary care physicians, cardiologists, CV surgeons, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, allied health professionals and pharmacists.
