Baptist Rehabilitation-Midtown offers physical therapy services tailored to the diverse needs of an active Midtown community, including recreational athletes, such as bikers, dancers, rowers and runners. Services include manual therapy, orthopedics including spine and back disorders and therapy for neurological diseases. In addition, our facility offers a vast array of specialized skills and services specific to work-related injuries, geriatrics and lymphedema management. In pediatric rehabilitation, a team of therapists specializing in pediatrics provides physical, occupational and speech/language therapy for infants and children birth through age 18 using therapeutic play, therapeutic exercise and family education. Led by a diabetic nurse educator, our diabetes education and management program encompasses a multidisciplinary team approach, including an endocrinologist, registered dietitian, pharmacist, exercise physiologist and physical therapists, to help those with diabetes or at high risk for developing diabetes make the appropriate choices to lead a healthy lifestyle. Our wound care services include evaluation and treatment of a variety of wounds, including neuropathic ulcers; leg, arterial and pressure ulcers; as well as non-healing surgical wounds. Consultative appointments with specialty physicians, surgeons or radiologists can made based upon patient needs. Our post-rehab services offer you the opportunity to continue exercising in a medically supervised program tailored to meet your needs and help you reach your goals.
