Trinity Hospice House

When a life-limiting illness is no longer manageable at home, the Baptist Trinity Hospice House can provide much-needed comfort and support to patients and their loved ones. The Hospice House is located on the campus of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville. The residence is located in a tranquil, wooded setting and features a home-like environment with 24 private rooms. Offering a full-continuum of care, our specially-trained staff is available around the clock and is dedicated to improving the quality of life of our residents.

Who is eligible to be admitted to the Baptist Trinity Hospice House?
To be eligible for care at Baptist Trinity Hospice House, one must:

  • Have a life-limiting illness with a prognosis of six months or less to live, if the illness runs its natural course
  • Have made a decision to seek comfort care, rather than curative care

Residential Care
Residential care — full-time residence at the Hospice House — is covered by Medicare and most private insurance plans; however, room and board charges are not covered by these plans. Daily standard room and board charges are the responsibility of the patient and/or family.

Inpatient Care
Inpatient care may be required for intense monitoring and treatment for pain control or other symptom management which cannot be provided in a normal home-like setting. This level of care is typically covered by Medicare and other insurance plans.

What kind of care is provided at Baptist Trinity Hospice House?
Those staying at Baptist Trinity Hospice House will have unparalleled access to our unique combination of medical, emotional, and spiritual care. Physicians, nurses, certified nursing assistants, social workers, grief counselors, chaplains, and volunteers work as a team for the patient and their loved ones.

Medications which are related to the patient's hospice diagnosis are covered by Medicare and most private insurance plans.

Kemmons Wilson Family Center For Good Grief
The Kemmons Wilson Family Center for Good Grief is a comprehensive bereavement center, located adjacent to the Hospice House. Its mission is to provide a safe environment for children, teens, and adults to explore and express their feelings related to the death of a loved one and learn to thrive in a world without that special person.

Services include grief counseling, grief support groups and grief camp programs for children, teens and adults.

Bereavement services are free of charge and are made possible through individual donations and grants funded by the Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation, The Kemmons Wilson Family, and various organizations and individuals.

The Baptist Trinity Hospice House is made possible by contributions from the community, an endowment fund from the Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation and fund-raising efforts, such as the annual Art of Caring event. If you would like more information about the work of the Foundation or wish to make a contribution to the hospice fund, please call (901) 227-7123 or (800) 895-4483, or you may make a secure online donation at BMH Giving.
