Heart Transplant Reunion Stories

As of December 2010, Baptist Memorial Health Care has performed 300 heart transplants, and that list continues to grow. Every time a person receives a heart transplant, they are given a fresh start to life – a chance at a high quality of life again. But that same chance means someone else is grieving the loss of a heart, so heart transplant reunions can be bittersweet moments.

Baptist is proud to have been a part of not only numerous heart transplant surgeries, but numerous heart transplant reunions. These individuals are forever changed by the life of another – not just by our surgeons and medical staff, but by the gift of a new heart.
