At the numerous Baptist Memorial facilities in the metro-Memphis area, we take pride not only in meeting our patients' needs, but also in taking an active role in serving our communities. It is through the continued support of our communities that Baptist can provide outstanding care and fulfill our not-for-profit mission of preaching, teaching and healing.

The communities within the metropolitan-Memphis area have unique needs, and our Baptist colleagues and affiliated physicians are committed to addressing those needs - both within and outside of our hospitals' walls. This report presents just a few of the ways we've actively supported and benefited our communities during 2004.

While Baptist Memorial Health Care supports numerous community benefit initiatives across our system of hospitals throughout the Mid-South, it continues to be the ongoing activities, support and involvement of these individual Baptist facilities and colleagues that help enact our mission deeper and more meaningfully each year. Together, we make the Mid-South stronger and healthier.
