| Baptist Collierville sponsored backpack safety classes for approximately 140 second-graders at Collierville Elementary School. Hospital colleagues taught students about backpack safety and gave them a small treat, then provided posters and other teaching tools for teachers to reinforce the safety message throughout the year. |

"We are fortunate to have Baptist Collierville as an exceptional corporate citizen contributing to the quality of life and betterment of our Chamber and community."
|
| – R. Warner Anthamatten, President & CEO, Collierville Chamber of Commerce |
We are proud of the relationships we've developed to help improve the health and wellness of our community. Our focus is directed toward addressing a wide variety of health issues, youth and children's issues (such as backpack safety) and education.
For instance, in the spring, Baptist Collierville hosted a free community health event called Girls' Day Out. The event offered complimentary screenings and health information to the women of Collierville and surrounding areas. Approximately 350 women participated in the event and received free heel scans, allergy skin tests and pulmonary and blood pressure screens.
