The LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6
On Sept. 22, 2005, Baptist Centers for Cancer Care in Memphis hosted a free prostate screening event. According to the American Cancer Society, prostate cancer is the most common cancer found in American men after skin cancer and is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in men, second only to lung cancer.
The American Cancer Society recommends annual screening for this disease, beginning at age 50 for most men. African American men and those with a family history of prostate cancer are at high risk and should begin annual testing at age 45.
