Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto's new expanded emergency department opened in November 2006. Covering 28,000 square feet, Baptist DeSoto's ER features 35 patient exam rooms, including five designated pediatric rooms. Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi opened its new emergency room in 2003 as part of a $37 million expansion project. The new ER measures 15,000 square feet and has 22 treatment rooms. More than 2,000 patients a month are treated in the ER, which has offered the Experience Critical volunteer program since the fall of 2004.

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton's emergency room consists of six treatment rooms and provides high-quality care to an average of 19,000 patients annually. The ER is staffed 24 hours a day with emergency physicians and registered nurses and is equipped to handle a variety of emergency situations. The hospital also operates a 24-hour ambulance service. The goal of the ER at Baptist Tipton is to provide skilled, compassionate and efficient services to families throughout Tipton County.
