Baptist Booneville helps Relay for Life
BOONEVILLE, Miss., May 15, 2014 – Baptist Memorial Hospital-Booneville is helping the community by becoming a platinum sponsor of the Prentiss County Relay for Life. Relay for Life is the signature community fundraising event for the American Cancer Society.
"With cancer, early detection is key," James Grantham, CEO and administrator of Baptist Booneville, said. "We can save lives if we take advantage of this program to raise awareness about cancer signs and symptoms."
Every year, the Relay for Life movement raises more than $400 million worldwide. The American Cancer Society puts these donations to work, investing in groundbreaking research in every type of cancer and providing free information and services to cancer patients and their caregivers.
