Baptist Trinity named a top home health provider for seventh consecutive year
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Baptist Trinity Home Care & Hospice was named to the 2012 HomeCare Elite™, a compilation of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States.
Baptist Trinity Home Care & Hospice was the only metro-Memphis agency that has made the list for seven consecutive years.
The annual review identified the top 25 percent of the more than 10,000 Medicare-certified home health agencies that were considered and highlighted the top 100 and top 500 agencies overall. Winners were ranked by an analysis of performance measures in quality outcomes, quality improvement, patient experience, process measure implementation, and financial performance.
"We are extremely proud to be recognized again for our high standards of care," said Nancy Averwater, administrator and CEO for Baptist Trinity. "Our staff works hard to provide exceptional care to our patients, and this award proves our efforts have been successful."
The 2012 HomeCare Elite is the only performance recognition of its kind in the home health industry. It is co-sponsored by National Research Corporation (also known as OCS HomeCare), a leading provider of cross-continuum healthcare metrics and analytics, and DecisionHealth, publisher of the Home Health Line newsletter. The data used for the analysis were compiled from publicly available information.
Baptist Trinity opened the area's first residential hospice, Baptist Trinity Hospice House in late 2010 on the campus of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville. The Hospice House is located adjacent to the Kemmons Wilson Family Center for Good Grief, which offers free bereavement services to the community.
Baptist Trinity offers comprehensive home care and hospice programs throughout West Tennessee and North Mississippi, ranging from in-home rehabilitation services to comprehensive end-of-life support and care. Registered nurses; certified nursing assistants; medical social workers; and physical, speech and occupational therapists are available, along with daily home monitoring services through the HomMed Health Monitoring System.
