Baptist Women’s Hospital to Start New Weight Loss Program

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women has created "Weigh2Go!," a 12-week weight loss program for men and women beginning Monday, Sept. 27 at 5:30 p.m. in the hospital's educational classrooms.

The program includes nutritional counseling, meal planning, exercise classes, and general wellness information. Participants will have an opportunity to take a trip to the grocery store, where they will learn how to make appropriate food choices.

Psychological counseling is available to those who need it and will take place outside the class.

The cost of the program is $130.

"We are excited to give attendees the tools needed to make healthy lifestyle choices," said Cyndy Godley, program coordinator. "Losing weight involves a committed lifestyle change, and our program is designed to guide participants on how to make appropriate choices and stick to those choices."
