Germantown Brain Injury Conference Features National Speaker and Chief Neurosurgeon

Baptist Rehabilitation-Germantown will be the host for an educational and inspirational seminar titled Brain Injury; Overcoming Challenges. Saturday, May 15, 2010 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The purpose of this conference is to provide insight into brain injury recovery including the principals of neuroplasticity, evidenced based treatment techniques/strategies and utilization of humor and laughter as an effective tool in the healing process. The keynote speaker, Lois McElravy, is a brain injury survivor and a member of the National Speakers Association. She will be presenting 3 sessions including a developing new program, which focuses on long-term survivors and strategies for managing challenge.

In addition, Stephanie L. Einhaus, M.D., Chief of Neurosurgery, VA Memphis, will present medical updates on advances in brain injury care.
