Brad Parsons
Administrator and Chief Executive Officer

Brad Parsons is a Baptist NEA hospital administrator and Chief Executive OfficerBrad Parsons was named administrator and CEO of NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in June 2012. Previously, he served as administrator and CEO of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City. He began his career with Baptist as an assistant administrator at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in 2008.

Before coming to Baptist, Parsons served as assistant vice president of Decatur General Hospital in Decatur, Alabama, where he was responsible for various hospital support services. Prior to that, he worked with The Valencia Group, a revenue-cycle management consulting firm in Birmingham, Alabama.

A native of Birmingham, Parsons earned a Bachelor's degree from Birmingham Southern College and Master’s degrees in hospital administration and business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Craig Earley
Assistant Administrator

Craig Earley is an assistant administrator for Baptist NEAAs an assistant administrator at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital, Craig Earley supervises information systems, materials management, clinical engineering, safety and security, transportation, food and nutrition, and pastoral care services.

He joined Baptist Memorial Health Care in 2013 as a Frank S. Groner Administrative Fellow. Craig earned a bachelor's degree in commerce and business administration from the University of Alabama. He received a master's degree in both business administration and health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Melanie Edens
Assistant Administrator

Melanie Edens is an assistant administrator for Baptist NEAAs an assistant administrator at NEA Baptist, Melanie Edens oversees radiology, pharmacy, physical therapy, respiratory therapy and radiation oncology.

Edens has been with NEA Baptist for 18 years. She started as a CT tech, and was promoted to radiology coordinator then radiology director. Among her many accomplishments include designing the radiology department, complete with 17 new radiology systems, on our medical campus that opened in 2014.

Melanie has been recognized as an Outstanding Alumnus of ASU's College of Nursing and Health Related professions and the ACHE's Early Career award for Healthcare Executives. She is a graduate of Arkansas State University and participates in several community and civic organizations, including the 2015 class of Leadership Jonesboro.

Paula Grimes
Chief Nursing Officer

Paula Grimes is the Chief Nursing Officer at Baptist NEAPaula Grimes has been a member of the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital team since 1996. Currently the chief nursing officer, she previously served as director of ICU and CV services for the hospital. As chief nursing officer, Grimes is responsible for planning, implementing, directing and controlling activities and operations in nursing and rehabilitation services as well as in patient care areas on the main hospital campus and at the Surgical Hospital of Jonesboro.

Grimes earned a bachelor’s degree in science and nursing from Arkansas State University and a master’s degree of science in nursing from University of Phoenix. She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society for Nursing. She received the NEA chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, "Excellence in Nursing of the Critically Ill Patient" award in 1999 and 2001. She also served on the American Heart Association board from 2000-2003.

Kyle Sanders
Chief Financial Officer

Kyle Sanders is the Chief Financial Officer of Baptist NEAKyle Sanders is the Chief Financial Officer for NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital. Sanders has worked at NEA Baptist since 2007 as controller. As CFO, Sanders is responsible for several departments, including patient financial services, patient registration, health information management, materials management, and the hospital's financial planning and budget processes. He also serves as the chief privacy and compliance officer for the hospital.

Sanders, who grew up in Newport, AR, is a graduate of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR with a bachelor of science in finance and a master degree in business administration. He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and is a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional.
