Cafeteria, Coffee Shop and Vending Machines
The Willows Café is located on the first floor of the hospital. Hours of operation are:

Vending machines are available 24 hours a day and are located on floors two through four next to the guest elevators A large vending area is located on the first floor next to the Willows Café.
A full-service Starbucks is located in the front lobby of the hospital. Hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
Gift Shop and Flowers
A gift shop is located on the first floor at the hospital’s main entrance. Free delivery is available upon request.

Local florists make deliveries to patients Monday through Saturday. If you have questions about a flower delivery to your room, please contact the florist directly.
Cell phones may be used in various locations throughout the hospital. Because cell phones may interfere with medical equipment used for our patients, restricted areas will have signs posted accordingly.
The hospital offers a number of counseling services to patients, including dietary, financial, health care choices, religious, rehabilitation and lifestyle arrangements.
Cover Your Cough
Remember to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, or cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve, not into your hands. Put your used tissue in the wastebasket. Patients may be asked to put on a surgical mask to protect others. Clean your hands thoroughly with soap and water or liquid antiseptic after sneezing or coughing.
For the safety of our patients, staff and visitors, we ask everyone to practice good sanitary habits, such as thoroughly washing hands with soap and water or liquid antiseptic when entering and leaving a patient’s room. Dispensers for liquid antiseptic are located throughout the hospital, in waiting rooms and individual patient rooms.
Hearing Impaired and Interpretation Services
TDD (Telephone Device for the Deaf) equipment is available at no charge for our hearing impaired patients. Please contact the nursing staff or Help Line to obtain this equipment for use in your hospital room. In addition, interpretation services are provided for our hearing impaired patients on request. Please contact your nurse for assistance with obtaining a deaf interpreter.
When needed, interpretation services are provided for patients who don’t speak English. Please contact your nurse for assistance with obtaining a language interpreter.
Most hospital staff members are dressed in uniforms of varying colors to help patients distinguish those who perform different duties.

Baptist Memphis provides wireless Internet service as a convenience to our patients and guests.
A complimentary washer and dryer are available on the third floor of the hospital. Detergent may be purchased in the gift shop.
Baptist Memphis is proud to have the Ann L. and Joseph H. Powell Consumer Library. The library is open on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00p.m. and is located on the first floor of 6025 Walnut Grove, Medical Plaza 1. Services include faxing, photocopying, computer and Internet access, as well as health-related resources available for check-out.
While Baptist Memphis is not responsible for patients’ and guests’ personal belongings, we certainly try to return lost items to their owners.

Patient mail is received by our mail room Monday through Saturday and is delivered by hospital volunteers. Once you are discharged, your mail will be forwarded to your home address. Stamps may be purchased from the vending machine located in the vending area on the first floor of the hospital. A mail drop is located in the guest elevator alcove on the first floor in the main lobby.
At any time during your hospitalization, you may choose to declare your patient status as “no publicity.” By doing so, there will be no public record of your hospitalization. Therefore, you will not receive flowers or mail, and visitors will be advised that you are not listed as a patient in our hospital.
Please consult the local phone directory for notaries public. Hospital staff and volunteers are prohibited from witnessing or notarizing any documents related to a patient’s health care wishes.
All private rooms have a sofa for overnight guests. Please ask a staff member for linens. Guests should fold bedding each morning to help maintain a pleasant and tidy room. For our guests staying in one of our family waiting rooms, shower facilities and linens are available for your convenience. Recliners are provided, as well.
Parking Self, Valet and Shuttle
Free, well-lit, security-patrolled garages are located on our hospital campus. Handicap parking is available in both an outside lot and on each floor of the parking garages. Valet parking also is available on weekdays for a nominal fee.
Valet parking is available at the entrance to 6025 Walnut Grove, Medical Plaza 1. This service is available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a nominal fee.
A complimentary guest shuttle is available at all times for transportation to and from locations on the hospital campus. For shuttle transportation to your vehicle, dial 6-5520 from any in-house phone located at any hospital entrance.
For shuttle transportation from your vehicle to the building, dial 901-226-5520 from your cellular phone.
The Walnut Grove Plaza Pharmacy is located in the building directly across from the hospital’s main entrance and is available to you for any prescriptions you might need to take home upon discharge. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays.
Baptist Memphis has four separate family waiting rooms:
Ambulatory Center Waiting Room
Located on the first floor of the hospital and is the check-in point for patients having surgery, GI, or interventional radiology procedures. The direct phone number to this waiting room is 901-226-1900. The waiting room opens at 5 a.m. and closes at 5:30 p.m. Families with patients still in surgery and/or recovery after 5 p.m. will be escorted to the admissions area to wait for updates on room information.
Heart Cath (Catheterization) Waiting Room
Located in the admissions department on the first floor and is for families with patients having cardiac catheterization procedures. To talk with families or friends in this waiting room, please dial 901-226-5050.
CVICU/Transplant Waiting Room
Located on the second floor and is for families with patients in CVICU/Transplant (rooms 2901-2940). To talk with families or friends in this waiting room, dial 901-226-5955. While children are allowed in the waiting room, those under 12 cannot visit the patient care area. Please talk with the hostess in the waiting room for specific patient visitation times.
Critical Care Waiting Room
Located on the concourse level and is for families with patients in CCU (rooms 201-246). To talk with families or friends in this waiting room, dial 901-226-5888. While children are allowed in the waiting room, those under 12 cannot visit in the patient care area. Please talk with the hostess in the waiting room for specific patient visitation times.
A walking trail, located on the hospital campus, is 1/4 mile in length and has park benches, a security phone and lights. Entrance to the walking trail is located at the southwest corner of the campus adjacent to the employee parking lot.
