Dana Dye
Vice President, Administrator and CEO

Dana Dye, Vice President, Administrator and CEODana Dye became Baptist Memphis' first female administrator and CEO in June 2014. Before being tapped to lead the city's largest hospital, she spent two years as Baptist's vice president and chief nursing executive. Dye came to Baptist in 2007 as Baptist Memphis' chief nursing officer.

Dye's nursing career spans more than 30 years. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she earned a Master in Public Health Administration degree. She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Cyndi Pittman
Chief Financial Officer

Cyndi PittmanCyndi Pittman is Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis' chief financial officer. Pittman is responsible for several departments, including case management, materials management, patient registration, health information management, information systems, financial planning and analysis. She also serves as the chief privacy officer and compliance officer for Baptist Memphis.

A Baptist employee since 1989, Pittman was the CFO for Baptist Memorial Hospital-Medical Center and worked in the finance department at Baptist's corporate building before moving into her current role. She earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Memphis.

Dr. Chris Patrick
Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Chris PatrickDr. Chris Patrick is the chief medical officer for Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Among his responsibilities are monitoring physician satisfaction, helping develop new physician leaders, supervising performance improvement programs and assisting with physician education. In addition, he oversees graduate medical education, quality, risk management and physician relations.

After receiving a bachelor of science degree with honors from Clemson University, he earned a master of science degree in immunology and microbiology as well as a Ph.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina. He then completed a two-year research postdoctoral fellowship at The Rockefeller University in New York City.

Dr. Patrick also earned his medical degree from MUSC and performed his pediatric residency at Children's Medical Center, University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Dr. Patrick then completed a pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He is board certified in pediatric infectious diseases and has published three textbooks and more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters.

A former deputy chief medical officer and vice president for clinical services at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Dr. Patrick was the chief medical officer and senior vice president for medical & academic affairs at Miami Children's Hospital before coming to Baptist Memphis.

Michelle Smith
Chief Nursing Officer

Michelle Smith, Chief Nursing OfficerMichelle Smith is the chief nursing officer at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. Smith is responsible for the development and implementation of all nursing and related patient care activities while serving with the hospital leadership team.

Smith has more than 30 years of experience in nursing and hospital administration. She most recently served as Chief Clinical Officer at the Memorial Hospital at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, Colorado. Prior to that, Smith worked at Abrazo Health Care-Vanguard Health System in Phoenix as Regional Chief Nursing Executive. Smith earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
