COLLIERVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 16, 2009 – On Saturday, Oct. 3, Baptist Memorial Health Care and The Avenue Carriage Crossing will host its first Pink Tie Event to honor Memphis area breast cancer survivors.
The event will take place at The Avenue Carriage Crossing in Collierville and will feature a fashion show showcasing the latest fall outfits. Models for the show are Mid-South area breast cancer survivors. Prior to the event, they will receive complimentary makeovers from Sephora and Bare Escentuals as well as hairstyles from Gould’s Salon, which is located within the mall.
Karen Perrin from Classic Hits 94.1 will emcee the fashion show, delivering messages of hope from the models participating in the event. Baptist’s mobile mammography unit, genetic counselors and representatives from Baptist’s Breast Risk Management Center will also be on hand to provide information about breast cancer. Attendees will have the chance to receive a number of special giveaways during the event and sample complimentary food from Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, Blue Coast Burrito, Bonefish Grille, Firebird’s Rocky Mountain Grill, Great American Cookie and Stix.
The Pink Tie Event begins at 2 p.m. and lasts until 4 p.m. Stores participating include: Ann Taylor, Apothetique, Banana Republic, Bare Escentuals, Cache, Chico’s, Christopher & Banks, Claire’s, Eddie Bauer, Gymboree, Lane Bryant, Macy’s, Regis, Sephora, Talbots and White House/Black Market.
