MEMPHIS, Tenn., Sept. 3, 2009 – Baptist Rehabilitation-Germantown recently welcomed Beverly Elliott to its staff of physical therapists at the hospital’s Midtown clinic, located at 1111 Union Ave.
The hospital operates six satellite rehab clinics located throughout the metro-Memphis area, including Midtown.
Elliott attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in human nutrition, foods and exercise. She went on to earn her doctorate in physical therapy from Duke University. Prior to joining Baptist Rehab-Germantown, she was the director of physical therapy for Memphis Physical Therapy in Millington.
“We are very pleased with the addition of Beverly to our team of physical therapists at our Midtown clinic,” said Susan Stralka, administrator and CEO of Baptist Germantown. “Her education and experience in the field will assist us in continuing to provide high-quality care to our patients.”
Baptist Germantown is a 68-bed acute care facility that offers a comprehensive array of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services designed to allow a patient’s complete course of care to take place under one roof. Baptist Rehab-Germantown concentrates on a variety of rehabilitation and diagnostic services, both inpatient and outpatient, to treat many types of injuries and conditions, such as stroke, arthritis, spine and back disorders and injuries, fractures, amputations, and spinal cord and head injuries. The hospital offers an open MRI machine, as well as a Wound Prevention and Management Center.
