MEMPHIS, Tenn., Aug. 25, 2009 – Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women will host an annual fall Christmas sale Wednesday, Sept. 23 through Friday, Sept. 25. Patrons will be able to shop in three different locations: The Dr. Sam P. Patterson Library, the hospital gift shop and suite 100 in the hospital’s Physician Office Building, located at 6215 Humphreys Blvd.
Christmas merchandise, including ornaments, serving pieces, wreaths, candles, stockings and table runners will be available for purchase. Customers will be able to preview the merchandise beginning Sept. 21, but discounts will not apply until Sept. 23. Portions of the proceeds from the sale will benefit the Comprehensive Breast Center and the Women’s Health Center.
On Wednesday, Sept. 23, shoppers will receive a 30 percent discount on all merchandise. The gift shop will offer a 40 percent discount on Thursday, Sept. 24, and on Friday, Sept. 25, all merchandise will be 50 percent off.
Store hours during the preview days will be from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The store will be open from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sept. 23 and 24, and from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. on the final day of the sale.
Baptist Women’s Hospital, one of three hospitals in the nation honored with the American Hospital Association McKesson Quest for Quality Prize™ for 2006, opened on May 20, 2001. The 2005 Memphis Business Journal’s Best Place to Work winner for large businesses, it is the only freestanding women’s hospital in Memphis and one of only a handful of such hospitals in the country.
The 140-bed facility features the Dr. Sam P. Patterson Library; a newborn intensive care unit; a high-risk pregnancy center; the Center for Urinary and Pelvic Disorders; the Women’s Health Center Boutique; the Women’s Health Center; the Baptist Comprehensive Breast Center; and the Baptist Breast Risk Management Center, the only center of its kind in the area.
