MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 9, 2009 – Four Baptist Memorial hospitals were among the highest-rated Memphis-area facilities based on a recent study that measured the value of care provided by U.S. hospitals. Data Advantage, a health care information company, created the Hospital Value Index™ study, that examined more than 3,000 general acute-care hospitals in America. The hospitals in the study were judged on quality, affordability and efficiency and patient satisfaction. Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto earned the area’s highest Hospital Value Index score, and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville’s scores were among the top 10 in the Mid-South.
