Fun and Healthy Snacks

Unhealthy eating can make you feel tired and out of shape. Here are some fast and easy snacks from P.D. Parrot’s kitchen:

PDParrot.org P.D.’s Peach Crunch

1 ripe medium-sized peach
2 teaspoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons honey
1/2 cup yogurt
2 tablespoons granola or buckwheat

Ask a grown-up to help blend the first four ingredients. Sprinkle granola or buckwheat on top.


Ants on a Log

2 celery sticks
2 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tablespoons raisins

1. Wash the celery and cut it into pieces. (Each piece should be about 5 inches long.)
2. Spread peanut butter in the u-shape of the celery stalk, from one end to the other.
3. Press raisins gently into the peanut butter.
4. Presto! You can now enjoy a healthy snack!
