Baptist Rehabilitation-Germantown is a full-service provider of physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. We specialize in treating patients with a variety of orthopedic, neurologic and specialty conditions, such as spinal cord injuries, strokes, brain injuries, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, spine and back disorders and injuries, fractures, sports injuries and amputations. Our therapists hold advanced certifications in orthopedics, sports medicine, neurologic rehab, lymphedema, vestibular rehab, hand therapy and pediatrics, and help provide the expert care needed to get you back on your feet.
Your therapist develops a plan to help you meet your rehabilitation goals and achieve the highest level of mobility and independence possible. Therapists with special certifications in orthopedics; sports medicine; brain injury rehabilitation; and the treatment of neurological disorders, including neurological developmental training (functional training that encourages normalized movement and use of affected extremities), also help provide expert care to patients. Outpatient therapy includes a number of treatments and techniques designed to:
- Restore muscle strength
- Evaluate functional mobility skills such as walking and maintaining proper balance
- Develop individualized exercise programs to improve balance and movement, wheelchair function, standing, walking and other functional activities including communication, cognition, and swallowing.
- Relieve pain
- Teach correct posture
- Teach proper use of prosthetic, orthotic and ambulation devices

Intensive Outpatient Rehabilitation
Baptist Rehab-Germantown also offers Next Step, an intensive outpatient day treatment rehabilitation program for patient recovering from neurological injuries.
A physician's order is required to receive outpatient therapy at Baptist Rehabilitation – Germantown. Orders must accompany patient or be faxed prior to the appointment. Physician orders should include the following information:
- Patient's Name
- Date of Order
- Medical Diagnosis
- Treatment Diagnosis
- Precautions or Limitations
- Order for Therapy
- Physician Signature
Outpatient Therapy services are available Monday through Thursday 7:30am – 6pm and Friday 7:30am – 5:00pm. Community programming varies. A schedule of community program availability can be obtained by calling 901-757-3458.
