Meet The Doctor

What can a patient expect when they have you as a doctor?

The most important quality of a cancer physician is he must be a good listener. I listen.

What is the most important factor in a doctor-patient relationship and why?

I believe the physician caring for an individual with cancer needs stereoscopic vision, with one eye focused on eradicating cancer and the other eye focused on the vulnerable human being who is suffering. I have this stereoscopic vision.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy when you're not working?

I enjoy taking care of my six year old granddaughter and work in my church.

What about your line of work do you find the most rewarding and why?

The most rewarding part is being an active presence in the life of people with cancer.

Dr. Michael Magee joined the Baptist Medical Group team of physicians in 2012. Dr. Magee specializes in oncology, specifically breast cancer. He cares for patients in both Germantown, TN and Southaven, MS.
