Baptist Mobile Mammography Van

The Baptist Women's Health Center is proud to offer a mobile mammography unit that travels throughout the Memphis Metropolitan area. By making it more convenient for more women to get screened, we hope to have even more success stories in the fight against breast cancer.

To be screened, participants must meet the following conditions:
  • 35 years or older
  • Have no symptoms (new lumps or masses)
  • Have no personal history of breast cancer
  • Not be pregnant or nursing
  • Have had a routine physical exam within the last 3 years
  • Have a physician who can receive the mammography results
  • Be able to walk up stairs and stand alone
  • We file insurance - if uninsured ask about our eligibility requirements for our Grant Programs.

NOTE: Pre registration is required to reserve an appointment time.

The American Cancer Society recommends that women have their first mammogram at age 40, then once every year after that. Baptist's mobile mammography service offers a convenient way for employers and community organizations to help make sure busy women get screened regularly. The unit is available for businesses, schools, health fairs, and churches.

As part of our extended service, the Women's Health Center offers onsite educational sessions prior to the arrival of a mammography van. At the seminar women can bring their lunch and listen to a registered nurse talk about breast health and answer any questions the employees might have. Please call 901-226-0827 to learn more.
