Celebrating National Doctors' Day
Baptist Union City recently celebrated National Doctors’ Day. In honor of physicians, the hospital donated $1,000 to the Hometown Walk of Hope. The Hometown Walk of Hope is an event held annually that raises funds that benefit Obion County residents who have cancer and need financial assistance. Gathered for the presentation were (left to right) Derick Ziegler, administrator and CEO of Baptist Union City; Lorraine Gossett, chairperson for the Hometown Walk of Hope; and Dr. James Batey, president of the Baptist Union City medical staff.

National Hospital Week at Baptist Union City – Poster Contest
Sixth-grade students from across Obion County, Tenn., were invited to enter Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City’s poster contest for National Hospital Week. Students were encouraged to use “Your Hospital, Your Neighbor,” the hospital’s 60th anniversary theme, to decorate their posters. Six winners were chosen, and there was one overall winner. Each winner received a 315-piece art set, and the overall winner received a $100 gift card to Walmart. A luncheon was held for the winners, their families, and school officials.
