Hutson Raises Money for Hometown Walk of Hope
Recently, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City staff gathered to show their support for Donald Hutson, CEO and administrator for Baptist Union City, who completed a 24-hour run called Hutson for Hope to raise money for the Hometown Walk of Hope. Hutson began at noon on May 9 and ran every hour, on the hour, for one mile around the hospital campus, concluding his run at 11 a.m. on May 10.
Hutson’s daughter Stephanie (right) joined him for four miles, including the first and final laps. The event raised $4,260.
“I appreciate every contribution and am overwhelmed by the support and encouragement shown,”said Hutson.
Contributions are still being accepted.

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City recently named Mary Carpenter, director of the Obion County Public Library, as a member of the hospital’s board of directors.
“We are pleased to welcome such an outstanding community leader to our team,” said Donald Hutson, CEO and administrator for Baptist Union City. “Mary Carpenter has served on the indigent care fund board and has been very interested in health care issues in Obion County for many years.”
Carpenter replaces Dr. F. Irvin Hays, who retired.

Carpenter resides in Union City with her husband, Bob, and daughters, Libby and Molly.
