  Baptist Union City Served As Corporate Sponsor For Hometown Walk of Hope Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City served as a corporate sponsor for the Hometown Walk of Hope, an annual event that helps raise money for the Obion County Cancer Agency. This organization helps Obion County cancer patients with financial needs. Baptist Union City colleagues helped to raise more than $11,000 for the agency. Baptist Union City Receives VHA Leadership Award For the second year in a row, VHA honored Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City with the 2007 Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence in cardiac care. Baptist Union City is one of 303 VHA member hospitals nationwide to receive the award, which honors organizations that have scored 90 percent or above on national clinical care measures. Eight hospitals affiliated with the Baptist Memorial Health Care system received clinical excellence awards. “We are so honored to receive this award for the second consecutive year,” said Don Hutson, administrator and CEO of Baptist Union City. “Baptist Union City is committed to providing high-quality services to our patients, and this award celebrates that commitment to excellence in cardiac care.” VHA Inc., based in Irving, Texas, is a national alliance that provides industry-leading supply chain management services and supports the formation of regional and national networks to help members improve their clinical and economic performance.
