Joanne Gill Named Service First Champion

Third Quarter Service First Champion Named

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City is pleased to announce Joanne Gill as its Service First Champion for the third quarter of fiscal year 2007. Selected from more than 400 colleagues, Joanne exemplifies good customer service and upholds Baptist Memorial Health Care’s mission of preaching, teaching and healing.

Joanne’s nomination reads: “I would like to nominate Joanne Gill for the Service First award. Today, while a patient with end-stage liver disease was being treated, she told me about how anxious the patient as the last time she came to the hospital for treatment. Joanne sang to her like an angel and gave the patient a CD she had recorded. The patient took it home, played it and stated she was so blessed. Having not slept in days, the patient listened to the first two songs and fell asleep. She stated she has listened to it over and over and every time she receives a blessing. She told me how nice Joanne was to her and hugs her goodbye every time.”

Joanne is a registered nurse and has been with Baptist Union City since 1972.
