Surgery Services Located within the Baptist Heart Institute on the Baptist Memphis campus, the Baptist Ambulatory Centre is the entry point for all elective inpatient and one-day surgeries, heart catheterizations and gastrointestinal procedures, and presurgery labs. The center offers a full range of services, including:
One-Day Surgery Families of patients having one-day surgery can wait in comfort in the Baptist Ambulatory Centre waiting room for updates during surgery and recovery. Once your patient has returned to the postoperative area, family members are reunited with the patient during this recovery period prior to discharge. For those wishing to call and talk with family members, please dial (901) 226-1900. Surgery Patients Staying Overnight Families of patients who will be staying overnight or longer will be directed to the appropriate waiting room to receive surgery and recovery updates. Pediatric Surgery Services Baptist Memphis provides a variety of surgery services for children, including preadmission surgery evaluations through the pediatric development needs evaluations and surgery teaching program. To make children and their families as comfortable as possible, Baptist Memphis has presurgery and postsurgery pediatric rooms. Baptist Memphis’ pediatric surgery services include:
