Chronic or high risk wounds need special care to heal. For our patients experiencing these issues, NEA Baptist offers a comprehensive Wound Prevention and Management Center with many specialized treatments to promote a more rapid and complete healing process.
The Healing Process
Our comprehensive wound care services include an aggressive approach to wound management, advanced wound care supplies, and healthcare providers who specialize in wound care.
The Wound Prevention and Management Center can effectively treat diabetic ulcers, arterial ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, thermal/chemical burns, crush injuries, and many other wounds the patient may be experiencing.
The center focuses on improving patient outcomes through the use of proven advanced therapies. Therapies are selected to meet each patient´s individual needs and may include hyperbaric oxygen therapy, compression, artificial or donor skin grafting, application of growth factors, vacuum assisted closure, and off-loading, as well as individualized dressing changes that incorporate high-tech supplies.
Advanced wound therapy offers a unique service to patients with chronic and complex wounds. NEA Baptist´s Wound Prevention and Management Center provides treatment and technology that are not typically available in traditional outpatient settings.
While visiting the Wound Prevention and Management Center, patients and family members are given instruction about correct wound care and prevention of new injuries. Advanced testing to identify and treat the underlying cause of failed or slow healing is performed. We take a team approach, engaging the patient, family members and when appropriate referrals to other medical care services such as orthotics, physical therapy, dietitians, orthopedic surgeons, podiatrists and plastic surgeons.
NEA Baptist's Wound Prevention and Management Center is located at 1111 Windover Rd., Jonesboro, AR and open Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. Call 870-336-3211 for more information.
