Baptist Memorial Hospitals

There are 15 hospitals in Baptist Memorial Health Care's system: nine in Tennessee, five in Mississippi and one in Arkansas.

Tennessee
Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women is the only freestanding women’s hospital in Memphis and one of only a handful of such hospitals in the country.
This full-service hospital has premier facilities including large patient rooms with the amenities of home.
Baptist Huntingdon is known for several “firsts” in Carroll County, including the first hip replacement, first to perform laporoscopic surgery, first to have MRI services, first to do a bone density assessment, and the first to have a helical CT scanner.
This 25-bed critical access facility includes a surgery department, medical/surgical wing, critical care unit, outpatient services, outpatient rehabilitation and an additional 10-bed Senior Care Unit for geriatric mental health services. The hospital also provides a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department.
Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, the flagship of the Baptist Memorial Health Care system, opened in 1979 and is a 706-bed tertiary care hospital located adjacent to the I-240 loop.
Built in 1964 by Tipton County, the hospital joined Baptist Memorial Health Care in 1981. Since then, two physicians' office buildings were completed in 1983 and in 1993, and additional construction has increased the hospital's beds to 100.
The 173-bed facility is located in the northwest corner of Tennessee, just south of the Kentucky border.
Baptist Memorial Restorative Care Hospital, located within the walls of Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, is a 30-bed, long-term, acute-care hospital.

Mississippi
As part of the Baptist Memorial Health Care System, Baptist Booneville has made many additions and improvements — all with the community in mind. They include an emergency room, a parking lot expansion, a third floor patient wing, and the addition of geriatric psychiatric services.
In November 2006, Baptist DeSoto opened an 11-story hospital tower that added 140 beds to the facility, allowing it to offer all private rooms. In addition, the new hospital tower added a new and expanded emergency department, more operating suites and space for future additions.
On May 23, 2005, Baptist Golden Triangle opened a $34 million bed tower, expanding and upgrading the hospital campus and enhancing patient accommodations. The new 167,000-square-foot structure added 151 patient rooms, each with private accommodations, and houses the hospital's advanced, new labor and delivery department.
Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford is a 217-bed acute care facility serving the northern third of Mississippi. One of the fastest growing hospitals in the region, Baptist North Mississippi has more than 80 medical and surgical specialists representing more than 30 specialty areas such as cardiology, radiation oncology and neurosurgery.
Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County, a 153-bed facility in New Albany, serves the fast-growing region of Northeast Mississippi.


Arkansas
This 104-bed hospital in Jonesboro, Ark., has all-private rooms and offers extensive inpatient and outpatient services – emergency department, surgical services, nuerology, respiratory care, cancer care, pulmonary rehabilitation and more.

Baptist Minor Med Centers
Baptist Minor Medical Centers provide convenient high quality care for a variety of minor illnesses and injuries.

Baptist Minor Medical Centers provide a combination of urgent care, workers' compensation and a broad range of occupational health and preventative services, as well as fast, convenient care for minor illnesses and non critical injuries such as sprains, cuts, insect bites, burns and rashes. All centers have x-ray facilities and the ability to do basic in-house labs and EKGs. No appointment is necessary. Baptist Minor Medical Centers accepts most insurance plans.

Outpatient Facilities
Baptist offers many services in an outpatient setting, including advanced diagnostic tests and procedures and same-day surgery and treatment.
