Health Tip
Just because a bread product is brown, this does not mean the product is whole-grain. The color may, in fact, come from caramel coloring. Check the ingredient list to know for sure.
Daily Bread

Through Baptist Memorial Hospital-Huntingdon's diabetic education program, employees teach free classes that give newly diagnosed diabetes patients the tools they need to manage the disease. The program includes an initial evaluation, where our staff works with you to develop goals and an individualized plan of care, which can include:
- Nutritional counseling
- Individualized exercise plans
- Physical therapy intervention
- Glucose monitoring
- Group classes on healthy eating and other lifestyle modifications
- Diabetes medications and insulin
- Ways to prevent complications
Patients who have completed the diabetic education program have learned how to control their blood glucose, gained more in-depth knowledge, and adopted lifestyle changes to help manage their diabetes. This project is funded under an agreement with the State of Tennessee. The classes are free to Tennessee residents only.
