Baptist DeSoto offers comprehensive rehabilitation services at multiple locations throughout DeSoto county, and we are the official rehab provider for the Northwest Community College athletic department in Senatobia, Miss., and the Southern Baptist Education Center in Southaven, Miss.

With the opening of our Rehabilitation Garden, we hope to enhance Baptist's focus on meeting patient's physical, mental, and spiritual needs in keeping with the threefold ministry of Christ (healing, teaching, and preaching).

Funded by the Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation, the garden has planting areas for both flowers and vegetables, and offers a variety of rehab activities for patients:

  • Increase mobility, endurance, strength and muscle tone, and motor coordination
  • Build memory, attention, concentration, correct sequencing, problem solving, and name and color identification
  • Interact socially and participate in group activities
  • Alleviate depression and build self-esteem and motivation
