Barry Skipper Bondurant Barry “Skipper” Bondurant
administrator and chief executive officer

Barry “Skipper” Bondurant joined Baptist Tipton as administrator and CEO in 2008. Since 2005, he served as an assistant administrator at Baptist Union City. Previously, Bondurant served as director of wellness and cardiovascular rehabilitation for Baptist Memorial Hospital-Blytheville, which is now Great River Medical Center.

Bondurant earned a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Tennessee at Martin, a master’s degree in exercise and sports medicine from the University of Memphis and master’s degree in business administration from Union University.

Daryl Blalack Daryl Blalack
assistant administrator of ancillary services

Daryl Blalack, who first joined Baptist in 1976, joined Baptist Lauderdale as administrator and CEO in 2008. Blalack also serves as an assistant administrator at Baptist Tipton and coordinator of system laboratory services with Baptist Clinical Corporate Services. Blalack also held positions in pathology services at Baptist Medical Center and Baptist Memphis

Blalack earned undergraduate degrees in biology and medical technology at the University of Tennessee at Martin and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He completed his graduate studies at The University of Memphis.

Shelia Fleming Shelia Fleming
chief nursing officer

Shelia Fleming earned a nursing diploma from the Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Baptist College of Health Sciences. A Baptist employee since 1987, Fleming began her Baptist career working in the emergency department as a staff nurse. She has served in a variety of capacities during her career at Baptist, including home health and hospice coordinator, surgery supervisor, and director of medical review services.

Before coming to Baptist Tipton, she served as Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale’s surgery supervisor for six years. In her current role at Baptist Tipton, she is responsible for developing and implementing all nursing and related patient care activities.

Monique Hart Monique Hart
chief financial officer

Monique Hart serves as chief financial officer for Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton and Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale. Hart joined Baptist in 1996. Previously, she served as supervisor of finance for Baptist Memorial Hospital-Medical Center, financial analyst for Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis and corporate financial operations, and director of finance at Baptist Home Medical Equipment.

She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Memphis.

Myra Cousar Myra Cousar
director of human resources

Myra Cousar has been with Baptist since 1979. Early in her career, she was responsible for all aspects of payroll until she was appointed assistant director of human resources. Cousar was named director in 1987, with responsibility for employment, benefits, compensation and orientation for approximately 340 hospital employees. She also manages long-term and short-range strategic planning for hospital staffing.

Cousar has served on the board of the Tennessee Technology Center in Covington for 20 years. She is a member and past president of the Covington-Tipton County Manufacturers Council and Covington Area Personnel Council and is actively involved in the community.


Donna Pugh
director of quality

Before coming to Baptist Tipton, Donna Pugh earned an Associate in Nursing degree from UT Martin and has been a registered nurse since 1977. She also has a degree in organizational management from Bethel University and earned her certification in case management in 2008. Throughout Pugh’s career with Baptist, she has served in many roles including home health nurse, occupational and employee health nurse, case manager, and most recently, director of medical review services for Baptist Memorial Hospital-Lauderdale.

Her current responsibilities at Baptist Tipton include coordinating performance improvement and medical staff activities and ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory organizations.
