Dear Friends:

At Baptist Memorial Hospital-Booneville, we are excited and proud to be an integral part of the fabric of this community. It has been a great year for us at the hospital as we have added services and enhanced programs to serve you. We take pride in providing high-quality health care to our patients, and believe it’s our responsibility to actively participate in and support the community we serve. Through the care we provide to patients each day, as well as the many activities and programs we conduct that enhance the health and well-being of our community, we strive to live Baptist’s mission of preaching, teaching and healing.
As we reflected on our service and activities this past year, we were humbled by the deep level of commitment our doctors and employees have to making our community a better place to live. We have been personally touched by the power of celebrating life with cancer survivors through the hospital’s participation in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Such events convince us more than ever that community partnerships do make a difference.
And this example is just one of numerous ways we’ve been blessed to work at Baptist Booneville this past year to support and benefit our patients and our community. This report gives you some of the highlights of our efforts to serve you in 2004. When you consider all our efforts that provided benefit for the community this past year - whether through providing charity care for the indigent or such activities as free health screenings for the community - our total community benefit amounts to $3.7 million. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you, and we pledge to you Baptist Booneville’s continued commitment to offering top-quality health care.
Respectfully,
Al Sypniewski
